Review of Lilith (1964) by Benjamin S — 16 Apr 2010
'Irresistible. Unpredictable. Homicidal.'.
One of Warren Beatty's first movies, having just retured from the war, he begins work at a mental institute and falls in love with one of the patients; a schizophrenic named Lilith. Notable for being one of Peter Fonda's first movies, playing a clean cut patient that's the opposite if his Easy Rider persona, as well as Gene Hackman's first real movie, he has a small part but it's vintage Hackman. Also, it prolly one of the raciest American movies of its time, some profanity (bitch), and even more ahead of tis time, a lesbian encounter is more than suggested.
