Review of Life Is Hot in Cracktown (2009) by Kay L — 16 Jun 2010
There is nothing cute or fun about this movie, as it relies more on showing us the harsh realities of a drug induced life among struggling poor people who had no way out. The actors carried the film beautifully and Evan Ross was exceptional, breaking away from his usually childish and naive characters.
While I find it to be an excellent piece, it's a film where you will either truly love it or find it ridiculous and absurd. There is no in between.
