Review of Let's Kill Ward's Wife (2014) by Sara W — 01 Jul 2015
A fun riff on the philosophical problem of Sabrina's uncle (a man who is depressed and horrendous to all, but wants to live, should Sabrina kill him for the good of the many?) Ooops - philosophical problems in ethics turn real when Ward's wife has an "accident," and zany coping antics ensue.
I smiled. The writers make some effort to cover the typical philosophical responses in the reactions of the characters, but you'll need to do some filling in for a class lecture. You can easily cover Qualitative and Quantitative utilitarianism, Deontology (Kant & Ross), Virtue Theory, Egoism, Hedonism and Emotionism.
It's not great art, but it's fun, and Amy Acker brings a giggle.
