Review of Lemming (2005) by Fei H — 02 Dec 2006
I knew very little (perhaps even nothing) about Lemming prior to seeing it, and that worked well to the film's advantage. It's one of the most spellbinding and hypnotic experiences I've had all year: an unsettling psychological drama/thriller with shades of Lynch and Hitchcock conjoined w/ moments of black comedy and supernatural horror.
Charlotte Rampling is phenomenal, making so much out of the relatively limited screen time she has that the very presence of her character pervades throughout the movie.
