Review of Late Phases (2014) by Rod E — 23 Feb 2016
Late Phases is a nice werewolf movie, a horror genre that doesn't have too many gems, except for a few. It is good to see more practical effects and an emphasis on characterization. Nick Damici is fine but a little too grizzled as a blind veteran.
Maybe that was the point but it has been seen before. What makes Late Phases work is the tension of the attacks and who could be the werewolf. Of course there are obvious red herrings in the movie and another downfall is the werewolves aren't incredibly terrifying.
Still they get points for originality.
