Being a resident of Broken Hill the characters portrayed in the movie are found throughout the community. And the use of one of best loved and respected community members as one of Rex's passengers at the beginnning was great.
I believe the manner the movie treated the issue of euthenasia respected the varied views on the sensitive issue.
