Review of Lake Placid (1999) by Jay A — 05 Jan 2013
One of my favorite horror movies. A silly idea, but supported by a great cast who seem to enjoy the movie they're making. Lake Placid features brilliant effects by Stan Winston, and sparkly, sarcastic dialog; it moves well and tells a fun story.
This is somewhat balanced by the utter excrement of the 3+ sequels that followed it. Give it a shot!
