Review of Lady Vengeance (2005) by Joe W — 22 May 2008
Wow. I just re-watched it and it is just...wow. The film is very much shot like the previous two Park Chan-wook films, 'Sympathy for Mr Vengeance' and 'Oldboy', so you can definately tell it is Park's work.
What really gets me about this film is the climax. It is hands-down the most difficult scene I have ever tried to watch. I couldn't watch, as it didn't feel right to look at. In case you haven't seen it, the scene I am referring to is not violent nor is it sexual or anything.
It is the scene in the abandoned school, I think. It's just very difficult to watch. Superbly directed and incredibly acted.
