Review of L.A. Confidential (1997) by Dan H — 11 Mar 2014
A perfect film. The acting is tops, the script is great, there are twists and turns, and the ending is just superb. A story of three LA cops who are good men but are corrupt in different ways, and how through investigating a mysterious homicide case begin a path towards possible redemption.
What starts out as a fascinating exploration of the LA police department in the 50's fairly quickly turns into one of the best Noir's you can see. For fans of the genre like myself, this film is heaven with a slice of pie and a mojito.
It couldn't get any better. HIGHLY recommended.
