Review of Kurt Cobain: About a Son (2007) by Christopher S — 13 Jun 2008
I wasn't sure what to expect from this film but walked away glad that I'd watched it. It's a unique take on filmmaking. Instead of 90 minutes of watching interviews, you're taken through a visual and audio journey.
What you visually see are shots from Aberdeen, Olympia, and Seattle. What you hear are clips from hours of interviews done with Kurt Cobain, mixed with influential songs. The movie is personal, inspiring, and sad all at the same time.
