Review of Kurbaan (2009) by Muntasim T — 10 Oct 2011
A very good contemporary thriller, that starts of in a rather cliche manner, but then picks up pace as it gets along. A bit too long at times, but excellent performances are riveting to watch. I was a bit sad to see that it flopped, but it is probably ahead of its time, especially in Indian context, where the protagonists are expected to be black and white characters.
Not so here. Terrorism is addressed, but attempts are made to look at both sides of the story, and that is no mean feat.
