A beautifully shot, exciting adventure. It's "Fitzcarraldo" meets "Life of Pi." It succeeds from a technical point of view, but falters in the storytelling, as its conventional plot and archetypal characters are too simplistic.
Its two directors are certainly talents to watch, nonetheless. Too bad they'll be busy with the next "Pirates" installment for the next several years.
