Review of Komodo vs. Cobra (2005) by Jessica G — 10 Jul 2009
This is an absolutely atrocious piece of cinema, making for a fun and enjoyable film to remember. I can't justify giving it a bad rating after being so thoroughly entertained. The mostly raunchy performances mix in with some true attempts at acting, making it even more laughable.
The sub-Discovery channel visual effects had me doubled over with laughter, and so did the "military base" that was totally the film's production office with a few non-discript set pieces and the same 6'7" African-American extra walking back and forth in the background.
The plot, while generic in structure, is somehow totally unpredictable just because of how completely unmotivated everything was. Winning dialogue, dynamic lighting, the kind of quality that can be expected from acclaimed director that brought you such films as The Bare Wench Project and The DaVince Co-Ed.
