Review of King Lear (1983) by Cale L — 17 Jul 2007
Classic film version of Shakespeare's tragedy (one of the "Big Four": Hamlet, Othello and Macbeth; Richard III should also be included as a tragedy). Olivier was the greatest actor of his age and, in his final major role (very fitting that it should be Shakespeare), he proves once again why he is the Master Of The Bard and Kenneth Branagh has inherited the mantle.
