Review of Kin-dza-dza! (1986) by Mark D — 16 Mar 2009
Perhaps one of the strangest, yet uniquely individual films I've ever seen. The "cult" following everyone mentions lead me to have high standards while watching this film, and it met them.
Although I was unaware when to laugh, the humor just didn't grow on me until a bit far into the film when the talk about the colors of pants signifying stature. Well okay that's not true, the symbolism involved in the light defining your worth by color made me laugh pretty hard.
OKAY SO LOTS OF THINGS DID... Over all, this film was a bit drawn out, and dry if you're not looking for the right things... It's wonderful. A definite must see.
