Review of Killing Bono (2011) by John F — 31 Mar 2011
A little picture that became a big picture and it shows. Hugely engaging performances by Ben Barnes and Robert Sheehan are swamped somewhat by a sprawling story. What does emerge is a rather sweet story about ambition and family loyalty.
Forget about it being accurate as regards the U2 story and Dublin in the 1980s , though it does succeed in showing the spirit and feel of a simpler time and place.
