Review of Kidnapped (2010) by Quebin A — 20 Jan 2012
As most of Kidnapped is devoted to watching people in extreme duress, leaving room for little else, it follows that the film exists solely to be "intense." Kidnapped is a middling film, although it does have some impressive elements.
"Rather than being gritty and suspenseful, it chooses to just make a gigantic mess. The over-acting really detracted me from the movie, and Vivas actually seems to be attempting to go for some deeper meaning here, which is laughable. The sheer extremity of the final 30 minutes is really the only point.".
