Review of Kept Husbands (1931) by Matt M — 06 May 2013
A young steel worker falls in love with the boss' daughter. They get married, but soon enough the ambitious and proud young man starts feeling like nothing more than a kept husband. Too campy to be a drama and not exactly amusing enough to be a romantic comedy, this Lloyd Bacon film is quite dull, forgettable and only rarely brightened up, mostly by a hard to miss supporting role in the cynical father of the young man.
