Review of Junior Bonner (1972) by Cory K — 16 Jul 2007
A lost McQueen classic. His performance in this movie from Peckinpah is subtle and so far removed from the outwardly tough character McQueen could play in his sleep. He is able to portray a sad, lost and out of touch man with his facial and body expressions.
Robert Preston, as his dad, is a gem! If you want a traditional movie with McQueen and Peckinpah - rent the Getaway. But a movie that may leave you with a diferent kind of feeling...try this understated flick.
