Review of Judge Priest (1934) by Danny V — 30 Sep 2010
Pretty great little comedy. Will Rogers had so many funny moments in the movie, like when he did the voice of his servant and himself to scare away the man that was on a date with the woman his nephew was in love with.
To be honest the movie isn't much. If one character has a problem with something they just back away. For example the scene where they want Judge Priest to step down as judge because he will be biased for the case.
He is so hurt by it that he just steps down. This would make sense, but the rest of the movie he seems like a fighter. I guess he does make a pretty sweet comeback in the end. I missed the first ten minutes of the film, but the rest was great.
Even though it seems like it will be minor Ford it still had a nice little poetic touch to it.
