Review of Jessabelle (2014) by Anthony T — 11 Apr 2015
An average haunted house movie made more than watchable by the better-than-average performance from relative newcomer Sarah Snook in the title role. This is strictly by-the-numbers, a horror film that follows the formula to the letter.
There are some moderately suspenseful moments, with several "jump" scares throughout. While this doesn't stand apart from others like it, it is still a fun film for horror fans.
