Review of Jason Becker: Not Dead Yet (2012) by Carla M — 24 Apr 2014
Wonderful documentary, full of heart. Jason not only lives for his love of music creating wonderful complex melodies whilst staying humble and kind. He is a person that should be considered an inspiration.
Its not about the widdly widdly solos or an extension of his own fandom. It definitely shows the public what makes him tick. Some just don't understand. MUSIC, love of music, that is what made him tick.
The emotion isn't lost in translation at all, you can see it plainly in the love that his family, his friends and people have around him. It is a wonderful documentary if you take the time to look back and realize that he is a dreamer, that although incapacitated to an extent is still making music and he is still living his life doing what he loves.
