Review of Jackie Brown (1997) by Cole R — 29 Aug 2011
This used to be my least favorite by Quentin, but that's because when you're 14 you don't typically have good taste in movies.
This really is Quentin's best movie. The dialog is crackling, the characters are alive and real, the soundtrack is irresistible, it's just an incredibly well made film. Everyone from Pam Grier, to DeNiro, to Keaton, Jackson, and Forster are all terrific and give performances of a life time. It lives in the shadow of Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs, but it is much better than both of those.
