Review of It's Kind of a Funny Story (2010) by Phil R — 30 Apr 2011
Perject job capturing the fragility of the teenage years. The pairing of Keir Gilchrist and Zach Galifianakis was natural enough to feel comfortable but awkward enough to remind you that they were strangers in an adult psych ward.
The development of Muqtada throughout the movie was great. All in all, a great coming of age flick that manages to capture the idea that to a 16 year old, it's much easier to look for reasons why life sucks even when there is no objective basis for that conclusion.
