Review of Ira & Abby (2006) by Hezekiah J — 25 Sep 2007
I LOVED this movie. Seriously, one of the best films I've seen in a long time. Another home run from Jennifer Westfeldt, I liked this even more than I liked Kissing Jessica Stein, I think. It's so real and true.
This movie doesn't exist in the safe, feel-good world of romantic comedy. It lives in the real world, and that's why the emotional payoff is that much greater. I thought this movie was hilarious and touching, and I can't imagine any way to improve on it.
I would recommend this film to anyone. The critics didn't love it, but look at the other reviews - this is a movie that touches a chord in audiences, and they love it.
