Awesome awesome movie. If you ever wanted to know what the big deal with "Deep Throat" was, by all means, check this out. One of the most interesting movies about movies I've ever seen. It is refreshing to see such lurid subject matter treated in a serious way.
Still, it remains very funny, both intentionally and un-intentionally (even though I suspect that the film makers KNEW a lot of the "un-funny" stuff would be funny.) The inclusion of Hugh Heffner, Erica Jong, Dick Cavett and (especially) Wes Craven puts a lot of what went on around this movie into perspective.
What is no big deal today, a porno movie attracting mainstream attention, was a HUGE deal in the early 70's. I highly recommend this, but don't forget, it IS about one of the most notorious porn movies ever, so keep the kiddies away.
