Review of Independence Day (1996) by Samantha L — 30 Dec 2012
This is the first movie I ever saw on modern cinema, it will always have a special place in my heart.
This movie is thoroughly entertaining, A class actors, I am not technically savvy enough to comment on the quality of the special effects, but nothing drew my attention away from the movie, I guess it was thoroughly done.
The movie takes us on a wonderful journey as mankind first encounter aliens in an 'in your face' attempt to wipe every man, woman, and child off the face of the earth, the first few scene are nothing less than spectacular.
The conspiracy theorist wet dream comes true as the movie reveals and takes place in the highly secretive area 51.
The president, played by Bill Pullman is pushed to decree a plan that involves a technician and an US air force pilot, both of them grieving friends killed by the alien attacks. this plan which is suicidal takes effect and mankind celebrates and affirms life once again.
Highly recommended.
