Review of In the Land of Blood and Honey (2011) by Robert A — 27 Apr 2012
This is not a great film on bosnia, but angelina jolie's directorial debut is no pushover as it captures the conflict in a perspective that is fresh, a love story between a serb and a muslim woman and the balkan war serving as a backdrop.
war here is not just about politics, or ethnic cleansing, it is about the abuse of women, one of the first casualties of war. however, angelina cannot help preaching or show her bias as a UN ambassador in a few scene.
