Agnieszka Holland's answer to Schindler's List and The Pianist. Finally, an epic Holocaust movie on an international scale made by a Polish director and with one of the greatest Polish actors working today, Robert Wieckiewicz.
Adding to the outstanding cinematography, Agnieszka Holland's push to make this movie in all the original languages, especially with the variation of the Polish language spoken at the time by the Poles of Lwow makes this a true masterpiece.
