Review of Imagine: John Lennon (1988) by Rod A — 25 Dec 2008
This isn't really a movie, more like an homage. Lennon was one of my first heroes. His sincerity and devastating wit affected me deeply. This film is twenty years old now. I first watched it when I was 18 and at the height of my obsession with the Beatles.
I wonder about Lennon's impact on the eighteen-year-olds of today. He is complex and conflicted and had an amazing gift for melodies and lyrics.
