Review of Ill Met by Moonlight (1957) by The S — 31 Jan 2011
Perhaps my least favourite Powell/Pressburger film, this is the tale of the capture and removal of a German general from Nazi-occupied Crete in WW2. The story was made to seem very pedestrian and predictable, I'm sure that as it's based on a true story, it wasn't in the least pedestrian at the time.
