Review of Ike: Countdown to D-Day (2004) by Tuukka P — 27 Jan 2010
A TV movie about General Eisenhower and his staff preparing for the D-day. Played almost as a play we get to see a lot of dialogue scenes with famous real life characters f.i. pitching their ideas about the famous invasion.
Selleck's perfromance is low key (propably on purpose) and heroic (as is the case usually in these biopic films). Also De Gaulle was propably a pain in the ass but surely not this kind of charicatyre of a French "frog".
