Review of I Want Candy (2007) by Forest L — 30 Jul 2007

There seems to be some confusion on the part of the viewing audience on this one. It is not American Pie, It doesn't want to be American Pie. Move along. What it is is a surprisingly gentle British comedy.

Although it is about a group of young students who make an adult film, it doesn't really rely on that theme and contains very little flesh. Mackenzie Crook (The Office)is a scene stealer. More quiet chuckles than ebullient guffaws, but enjoyable none the less.

If you only see a few movies a year, pass, but if you watch a lot of movies and are just looking for something to get you through the day, give it a try.
