Funny that I found the movie directed with kindness and a swift touch by Columbus where other see only stereotypes. Fact is, nerds win gently here, without much clamor, and seem from start to finish really happier than their winning counterpart.
Perhaps too quiet for many; or I'm an irredeemable dork.
