Very odd, very gripping, very Tsai. The strange plot with Tsai regular Lee Kang-Sheng playing two different roles could be considered a bit pretentious, but it is probably the most expicitly metaphorical of his films.

Coupled with the lack of dialogue this might alienate some audiences. His sense of humour, which seems to have been influenced by Buster Keaton, dominates. Funny, moving and warm. Tsai does it again.
