The arc of Hetrzfeldt is huge. It has been funny hearing him speak over the last 3 years at different engagements because HE is different based on what he is working on. Showing off his newest short, he came off as relaxed, sweet and shy, and a little mischevious.
I"M SO PROUD OF YOU still has a lot of that deeper meaning stuff that's been prevelent in his work since MEANING OF LIFE (kinda always) yet mixes it with Don's amazing sense of humor. The effect made it hit home for a lot of people I talked to.
I'm always impressed with the DIY attitude Hertzfeldt has and it mind blowing what he puts together alone with the ol' fashioned "blind" exposing and drawing without a light table.
