A mother and her 2 children move in with her brother in law after her husband dies in a car accident. The children move to the desert with their mother and uncle while they wait for the insurance/benefits from the lawyer.
They discover that their deceased father was planning to adopt a young child who had been abused. With a twist of fate, this child comes to stay with the family and it isn't such a happy ending. Lives intertwine and the more hardships are faced for this family.
A decent plot with okay acting...
