Review of Hurlyburly (1998) by Tamasin N — 08 Aug 2008

Its rare that I would give a movie 5/5, In fact this is probably the only movie I have ever seen that I would give a 5/5. Its not a popular movie. But you MUST see it. Pure genius. On the surface, it may simply be seen as a comical and dramatic movie about drugs and the socially elite.

But its not. Look closer! In my opinion its about finding meaning in something, in anything, when the world is crumbling around you and those around you don't understand your intentions or even what you are saying.

Those that seem the most balanced and 'sane' are actually the only ones that have no meaning in their lives and neither do they search for it. See it and judge for yourself :).
