If you're looking for an accurate depiction of the book, this isn't the film for you. If you're looking for a brilliantly produced, artsy, stylistic view on an apocalyptic survival drama, though, this is the film for you.
Once I set aside my preconceived notions from the book, this movie blew me away. WARNING: It does get pretty graphic. A lot of the scenes are brutal and even my husband had to look away sometimes.
