Review of Honkytonk Man (1982) by Robert B — 21 Mar 2009
The most moving thing about this film was understanding that Clint Eastwood directed and co-starred with his own 14-year-old son in this road picture. How sweet is that? Above average film also reveals Clint not only as the tough guy we all know and love, but also a capable singer of some catchy depression-era country tunes.
It's too bad he didn't make it to that audition and recording session earlier in the pic - the musical performances were the best part of this film.
