Review of Honeydripper (2007) by Tony C — 24 Dec 2007
It was nice to see a different story, but it was too slow for me. The most interesting character was new comer Gary Clark, Jr. I loved how Sayles dealt with how technology affected the music of the day and people like Glover's character resisted it.
Danny Glover has always been a favorite, but his braces are extremely distracting. He was first seen with them in Shooter. He shouldn't make another film with those things in his mouth. It affects his speech and appearance.
He's too old for that sh*t.
