Review of Honeydripper (2007) by Lee M — 17 Jul 2008
It takes three cliched plotlines and mashes them together. You have the story of a young man who dreams of making it big in the music business, there's the story about the old bar owner who fights to keep his bar open, and then there's the whole small town racism issue.
The story hasn't an ounce of originality, but Danny Glover is just such a good actor that I found myself rooting for him to succeed the whole way through. See this if you want, but you're not missing anything if you decide to skip it.
