Nice insight into a flavor of fundamentalism rarely depicted. But, other than that, the whole film has already been done and done better by others.

Eisenberg does a good job - as is his custom - but he just can't carry the movie on his own. The script lets him down, probably in defense of realism, the anti-climactic tale is generally unsatisfying. The good performances and sound direction are its only saving graces.
