Jeremy Davies gives the most convincing portrayal of Manson yet to hit the screen but I found the movie ended too quickly with limited coverage of the trail. Another problem was that DuVall was miscast as Linda Kasabian.
Jim Van Bebber's "Charlie's Family" still remains as the most chilling telling of this story in my opinion.
