Heathcliff is a classic comic strip character from the 80's. He was just as popular as Garfield back in the day. So it was natural to make a animated movie for Heathcliff. Heathcliff was a comic strip and cartoon series.
Much like Garfield in ways of look and bad temper. But Heathcliff tends to go out and cause trouble around the town. This just seemed like a long episode of Heathcliff. I liked Heathcliff as a kid and still like him today.
He is not as popular today but this is still a good movie for kids and the family to watch.
