Review of He Died with a Felafel in His Hand (2001) by Tanya V — 19 Jul 2010
"He Died With A Felafel In His Hand" is one of those rare gems you have to dig deep in the giant pile of all films to find. Not much advertising done for the theatrical or dvd release, which is quite sad because this movie was absolutely amazing.
The comedy is drier than the U.K. version of "The Office", but if you enjoy films that closely resemble real life in any way you can imagine, this is a film you will enjoy. Noah Taylor (Danny Kirkhope) gives an amazing performance as an aspiring writer who in his life has lived in 47 different shared homes with very quirky people, the movie goes through three of the houses.
Though the comedy is very dry, the way it shows the nuances of life in a hilarious fashion, makes this film a 5/5 in my book. Though this film really differs from person to person in the amount you enjoy it, I hope you found this small review helpful.
