Review of Hard to Kill (1990) by A S — 16 Feb 2008
One of the two greatest movies of Seagal's career (The Glimmer Man being the other), this movie is excellent and a must see for all fans of the action genre. While Tarantino's Kill Bill was well documented to have drawn heavily on Bruce Lee's films, the opening scenes with Uma Thurman waking from her coma and having to fight off attackers sent to finish her off are drawn straight from Hard to Kill.
Seagal's return from his seven year coma to full strength is as inspring as his relationship with his son and best friend is touching. A modern classic.
