Review of Happy Christmas (2014) by Enid C — 15 Nov 2015
An effortless observational humour was subtle and so realistic that it had me burst out laughing on several occasions.
It recognizing the humour in real-life situations, and so non-intrusively, made it just too close to the bone not to physically laugh.
The characters are just so genuine, and so well acted - that the jokes play out seamlessly and never need to be drawn attention to as a gag. There humour drawn from observing the true motives and feelings of the characters, which they thinly veil, that could only be pulled off by highly sophisticated acting.
The sheer realisticness of the situations in the film, and such cleverness made this film one that I will be raving about for months to come.
