Review of Gypo (2005) by David G — 27 Jul 2007
This movie enticed me into googling an hour on Czech refugees, the Roma, British immigration laws, and the racism immigrants endured to understand the context this story was woven into. I learned a lot watching this movie.
It is a beautiful story of people relating, told from three points of view, concerning a tired but artistically driven housewife, her depressed and xenophobic husband, and a young woman from the Czech Republic.
Wonderful.
