Review of Goth (2008) by Wiebke K — 20 Oct 2012
Slow paced but hauntingly beautiful. This film makes the most of its ethereal atmosphere to draw the audience despite its sparse dialogue and small cast.
It is hard not to be drawn into the morbid and fascinating mindset of the characters and Kanata Hongo's acting is just perfect for this role.
Overall one of my favourites but I can not help but hope that the rumours of a Hollywood remake are unfounded as it is hard to imagine any remake being able to hold onto the rare essence that this film has.
